8th Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) Global Eradication Program Advisory Committee Meeting

The Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) Global Eradication Program Advisory Committee is responsible for reviewing the implementation of the global eradication program and its progress against the overall goal of global freedom from PPR by 2030.

It provides advice to the PPR Secretariat and the management of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on any changes in strategy and on coordination of the program’s activities with other relevant interventions at country, regional and global levels.

The advisory committee also advocates for the PPR Global Eradication Program with policymakers, donors, national veterinary services and livestock owners.

The 8th meeting of the PPR Global Eradication Program Advisory Committee takes place on 15–16 May 2025 at the Nairobi Campus of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and is jointly organized by ILRI, SEBI-Livestock and FAO.
